Millie Bobby Brown is a British actress, producer, and entrepreneur who rose to global fame for her portrayal of Eleven in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things (2016–present). Born on February 19, 2004, in Marbella, Spain, to British parents Kelly and Robert Brown, she grew up in England and later moved to Florida, USA, to pursue acting opportunities. Despite being born with partial hearing loss in one ear, which eventually became total, Brown never let this challenge hinder her ambitions.
Her acting career began with guest roles in shows like Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, NCIS, and Grey’s Anatomy. Her breakthrough came in 2016 with Stranger Things, earning her critical acclaim and two Primetime Emmy nominations. She later starred in major films such as Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and Netflix’s Enola Holmes series, where she also served as a producer. Recent projects include Damsel (2024) and The Electric State (2025).
Beyond acting, Millie is a successful entrepreneur. In 2019, she launched Florence by Mills, a clean beauty brand aimed at Gen Z consumers. She has appeared on Time magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people and was appointed UNICEF’s youngest-ever Goodwill Ambassador in 2018.
In her personal life, Millie married Jake Bongiovi, son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, in 2024. The couple adopted a daughter in 2025, marking a new chapter in her life as a mother. Known for her advocacy on mental health and anti-bullying, Millie continues to inspire millions through her talent, resilience, and social impact.
